I Love This Guy!!
I was going to take The Boyz snowboarding on Wednesday. I woke up and had the distinct feeling they should not go. Ethan was especially upset. To say that he loves to snow board is an understatement. So this came to him as quite a blow. He had been looking forward to "ditching school" and boarding all day.
He was responsible and made arrangements with all his teachers and even took a test early to be sure everything was in place. Knowing how much he was looking forward to it made me rethink my decision. "Maybe I was being too rash and maybe I should just take them" I thought. I really didn’t want to disappoint him, he is such a good kid, but I just couldn’t feel good about it. So reluctantly (notice the bold print) they all went to school.
As it turned out by noon four of the major lifts were closed due to high winds and by evening we were experiencing hurricane winds near our home. Ethan came home from school gave me a big hug, and said “thank you mom, it would have been horrible up there.” I just gave him a hug and told him Learn To Trust Me Ethan.
Hummm... "Learn to trust ME?" I need to learn to trust Him and the promptings He gives me. Learn to act and not second guess. Learn to listen, like our angels listened when they sent our miracle money!
