Gratitude Doesn't Seem To Describe It

Last night as I was going to bed I became overwhelmed with gratitude for the many blessings we have. We have been blessed beyond measure during this amazing journey. We can look back and see how the hand of the Lord has been at every turn, every stop light, every hill, and every mile post. There is no doubt that our little girl born thousands of miles away in a country that is unknown to us, is known by our Heavenly Father. It amazes me how every detail has been made perfect for us.

My gratitude extends to our family and friends who have been so supportive of us throughout this process and beyond. It means the world to us. You have all been angles to us in your own way. Each of you have in some way helped lift us up and encourageing us to keep moving forward. WE FEEL SO LOVED!

There have been so many miracles that have happened right before our eyes and the word grateful just doesn’t seem adequate to describe the swelling of my heart or the tears in my eyes. I just want to be sure that everyone knows that this has happened because of the love Heavenly Father has for all His children.

This has become my favorite scripture I hope you all can see the similarities in what we are feeling.

Alma 26:35-37

35 Now have we not reason to rejoice? Yea, I say unto you, there never were men that had so great reason to rejoice as we, since the world began; yea, and my joy is carried away, even unto boasting in my God; for he has all power, all wisdom, and all understanding; he comprehendeth all things, and he is a merciful Being, even unto salvation, to those who will repent and believe on his name.

36 Now if this is boasting, even so will I boast; for this is my life and my light, my joy and my salvation, and my redemption from everlasting wo. Yea, blessed is the name of my God, who has been mindful of this people, who are a branch of the tree of Israel, and has been lost from its body in a strange land; yea, I say, blessed be the name of my God, who has been mindful of us, wanderers in a strange land.

37 Now my brethren, we see that God is mindful of every people, whatsoever land they may be in; yea, he numbereth his people, and his bowels of mercy are over all the earth. Now this is my joy, and my great thanksgiving; yea, and I will give thanks unto my God forever. Amen.

I just can’t say it any better than that! God is Good!!!

Now I better get my to do list done!  Less than one week to go till we are on a plane.  (You can't see it but I'm doing a happy dance right now.)
