Good Bye Urumqi

Well, we finally got Liddia's passport, so can now leave Urumqi. It is bittersweet. This is the birthplace of our daughter and we know that more than likely we will never be back here.

This is a photo we took with Jenny and Jane, our guides while we were in Urumqi. They were very kind and helped us alot.

The sweet part is that, we are moving closer to the time when we can return to our boys and our normal ordinary life in Grantsville, Utah. Toast and oatmeal for breakfast, on a quiet street and an ordinary routine.A live that includes these five wonderful kids.

  1. You are only just getting started with this great and exciting adventure of making this cute Chinese girl an American from Grantsville. It will be fun for her to see the pictures of her birthplace and remember.

  2. I'm not commenting on everything I am reading; but believe me, I am reading! In fact, just now I had David Buck and Travus Dye behind me looking at pictures and celebrating this marvelous "event" (series of events?).

If she'll let you, give lots of munchy kisses to your beautiful daughter. I hope someday to meet her (when she's ready, of course) and you, Rachelle. I spent some quiet time yesterday reading back on your blog, and I admire your faith and your amazing ability to keep going, even when things were incredibly difficult.

I hope the rest of your trip is wonderful!
