What better way to spend the day than at Build A Bear?

1st B-day cake.  Had to be...... Princess!

1st ever B-day present.  I've never seen a child unwrap so carefully!

Never is it so real to Bren and I that we have missed so much in Liddia's life than at special moments.  We missed her first smile, her first time she walked, her first word.  But there are many things we haven't missed and that is her first B-day. 

She loved being the center of attention.  Bren took some time off and we took Lidda to Build A Bear.  It was so fun to see what outfit she wanted her bear in.  She had already picked out her bear weeks earlier in a magazine, so actually picking the bear was no big deal.  It was actually her dad that found the winner outfit.  Way to go Dad! 

After we went to PF Changs for CHINESE of course.  It was a fun day.

Later on in the week we had a birthday party with cake, ice cream, and PRESENTS! As each guest came in with a present she would try and give it to me.  I would say no "Liddia it is for you."  "For Meeee?"  She was just amazed by the whole thing.   It was so neat to see Liddia open her first gift. It was special for me because there will not be another B-day to pass with out her.
